NYC-based jewelry designer, Gerard Yosca, is known for the "hand of the artist". Discover his signature pieces that are a force behind the fashion industry Always on a constant quest to discover, create and design, Gerard is entirely self-taught. Making arts and crafts eventually led him to Parsons School of Design. However, it was not until after graduation that he found his voice in jewelry. For over 30 years, all pieces are designed and made by hand in NYC’s Garment District. Models are created from scratch, carved from wax or produced directly from metal. Stones are handmade to our specifications to produce colors and shapes specifically “Yosca”. Soon after its institution, the company reintroduced vibrantly colored enamel into costume jewelry and was later responsible for creating the first butterfly hair clip. Gerard’s philanthropic efforts range from Publicolor NYC’s Stir Splatter + Roll, the Lighthouse Guild’s Posh sale, Housing Works’s Fashion For Action, and more. Gerard is a long-standing member of the Accessories Council as well as the Council of Fashion Designers of America. He sat on the CFDA’s Board of Directors for twelve years, served on their scholarship committee and was nominated for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2005.
